The first video I found was a video by   called “Waiting for the end of the world”, I liked the directing of this video and the distant feel he creates to show how the character in it who works at night is alone. The use of the tungsten lighting in the shop creates a very unnatural feel and the colours because of this are cold and gloomy. The video has a “Goundhog Day” feel to it which is probably another reason I enjoyed it as “Groundhog Day” is one of my favourite films.

Shrek Forever After

I’ve only seen Shrek 1 and 2 so jumping to the fourth installment wasn’t the best idea, to sum it up take the comedy from the first film, pop culture references and throw it all away. Only kids would like this, because they’re fickle idiots without valid opinions. Story was weak and a fairly depressing look at the monotony of life. 3/10

Paul

One of the only films I’ve really enjoyed at the cinema this year, still failing to beat the success that was ‘Shaun of the dead’ Nick Frost and Simon Pegg use this Hollywood budget to great effect with ‘Paul’ the alien being believable throughout, tons of sci-fi references mean this is a geek out you shouldn’t miss. 7/10

One flew over the cuckoo’s nest

I prefered Jack Nicholson in ‘As good as it gets’ but I only managed to see this for the first time the other week and it was excellent. All the characters are played perfectly it’s so easy to connect with them, I haven’t “read the book” but anyone who says a book is better than a film is mental anyway. 9/10
